in the game of basketball, a triple-double is where a player accumulates a double digit number in three categories in a game - points, rebounds and assists.
a triple-double is seen by spectators as an excellent all-around individual performance. however, the converse is not necessarily true. a player can have an excellent all-around performance while failing to achieve a triple-double.
it's good to achieve excellence in all that we do. we just have to realise that excellence can be measured in many ways. doing well for the PSLE exams is one measure of excellence but not the only one.
