there's a story of a man who kept looking for a lottery ticket that ended with the number 48. he finally found the ticket, bought it and won the first prize in the lottery. when asked about the significance of the number 48, the man replied "I dreamt of the number seven for seven straight nights. And 7 times 7 is 48."
we may laugh at this story, but the reality is that luck and randomness play a big part in our lives.
